Use these steps to reach outside the workflow — calling another system over HTTP, or notifying your team in Enginy or Slack about a contact or company.

Send HTTP request

Calls an external API or webhook — Zapier, n8n, Slack, or your own backend — with a templated URL and JSON body. One request is sent per contact or company that reaches this step. Use it as an extensibility point for anything Enginy doesn’t natively support: triggering an automation, logging to an internal system, or notifying a tool outside Enginy. Settings Output: the same contact or company, unchanged — the step continues regardless of the response it gets back.

Send Slack message for contacts

Posts a message to a Slack channel for each contact, with contact variables, optional teammate mentions, and a link back to the contact in Enginy. Use it to alert your team in Slack as contacts reach a certain point in the workflow. Settings Output: the contact, continuing to the next step. Requirements: requires the Enginy Slack integration.

Send Slack message for companies

Posts a message to a Slack channel for each company, with company variables, optional teammate mentions, and a link back to the company in Enginy. Use it to alert your team in Slack as companies reach a certain point in the workflow. Settings Output: the company, continuing to the next step. Requirements: requires the Enginy Slack integration.
