# Crunchbase imports

> Import companies, people, and investors by searching Crunchbase.

Use these steps to start a workflow with companies, people, or investors found on Crunchbase — filter by industry, funding, role, portfolio, and more.

Finds companies on Crunchbase by industry, funding, location, and more.

**Settings**

| Setting                               | Required         | What it controls                                                                        |
| ------------------------------------- | ---------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Crunchbase filters                    | Yes              | Industry, funding, location, and other filters the search matches against.              |
| Maximum number of companies to import | No (default 100) | Caps how many companies are imported.                                                   |
| Company list                          | No               | Adds the imported companies to this list, in addition to passing them to the next step. |

**Output**: the imported companies, ready for enrichment or actions.

**Requirements**: Crunchbase data is included; each import consumes Enginy credits.

**Settings**

**Output**: the imported contacts, ready for enrichment or actions.

Finds investors on Crunchbase by stage, portfolio, and more.

**Settings**

| Crunchbase principal filters | Yes              | Stage, portfolio, and other filters the search matches against. |
| Maximum investors to import  | No (default 100) | Caps how many investors are imported.                           |
| Company list                 | No               | Adds the imported investment firms to this list.                |
| Contact list                 | No               | Adds the associated investor people to this list.               |

**Output**: the imported investment firms, passed on as companies to the next step. Associated investor people, if a contact list is set, are saved there rather than continuing down the workflow.

**Requirements**: Crunchbase data is included; each import consumes Enginy credits.
