# Contact enrichment
> Blocks that fill in, verify, or refresh data on the contacts already in your workflow
Use these steps to complete or refresh contact records already in your workflow — pulling their latest LinkedIn data, finding a verified email or phone number, syncing with your CRM, or discovering more contacts through their social activity.
Get latest contact data from LinkedIn
Updates the contact with the latest data from their LinkedIn profile. If the contact has no LinkedIn URL on file, Enginy looks them up by name and company first.
Use it to refresh stale profile data (title, company, headline) before running other enrichment or outreach steps.
**Settings**

**Output**: the contact, with refreshed LinkedIn profile data.
Enrich with email
Finds a verified email address for the contact, running a waterfall across multiple data providers until a match is found.
Use it whenever a contact is missing an email, or before a step that needs to message them.
**Settings**

Sync contacts with CRM
Pulls the latest data for these contacts from your connected CRM into Enginy.
Use it to keep contact records current with what's in the CRM, especially after CRM-side edits. Enable full resync if CRM IDs are out of sync and need to be rematched from scratch.
**Settings**

**Output**: the contacts, with data refreshed from the CRM.
**Requirements**: requires a connected CRM.
Enrich with phone
Finds a phone number for the contact, running a waterfall across multiple data providers until a match is found.
Use it before any step that requires a phone number, such as a calling or SMS sequence.
**Settings**

Verify contact email
Checks whether any email address on the contact can actually receive messages.
Use it right before sending, to avoid wasting a send on a dead address.
**Output**: the contact, with its email verification status updated.
**Requirements**: consumes Enginy credits.
Verify contact phone
Checks whether any phone number on the contact can receive calls or texts.
Use it right before a calling or SMS step, to filter out dead numbers.
**Output**: the contact, with its phone verification status updated.
**Requirements**: consumes Enginy credits.
Adds investor and background data for the contact from Crunchbase.
Use it when qualifying contacts who may also be investors or have a notable funding history.
**Output**: the contact, with Crunchbase background data added.
**Requirements**: consumes Enginy credits.
Find data by email address
Finds the contact's LinkedIn profile and enriches their data starting from a professional email address.
Use it when you're importing contacts that only have an email on file and need the rest of their profile filled in.
**Output**: the contacts, with LinkedIn-sourced data added where a match was found.
**Requirements**: consumes Enginy credits.
Search contacts from profiles' posts
For each selected contact, fetches their LinkedIn posts in a date range and imports everyone who liked or commented on them. For example: extract CEOs from a list of companies, then run this step to capture everyone engaging with those CEOs' posts.
Use it to grow your contact list from the social activity of contacts you already have.
**Settings**

**Output**: the newly imported contacts, ready for further enrichment or actions.
This step also refreshes each source contact's LinkedIn data and syncs them with your CRM as part of the
same run.
