# List AI message tones

> Lists the tones available to this workspace (workspace-owned plus Enginy defaults). Use a returned `id` as the required `toneId` when creating or updating AI messages and AI snippets. Requires the AI variable split to be enabled for the workspace; otherwise returns 403.

    > **Required scope:** `AI_VARIABLES_READ`
    >
    > **Rate limit:** 100 requests per minute
